It helps a lot if you tell us your device (e.g. iPhone 13), your iOS version, and the level number or screen where it happened. A screenshot or screen recording is even better.
Drag your finger from the cat. It stretches along the grid and leaves a trail behind it. You win the level when the trail covers every single tile — no gaps, no crossing your own trail, no walking through walls.
Every level has exactly one solution. If you paint yourself into a corner, tap the restart arrow and try a different route.
Tap the ? button during a level for a hint — it shows you the next move. Hints are free in Story mode.
They’re switched off in the Daily Puzzle and in Escape Run on purpose: those modes are meant to be a single honest attempt.
If you think a level genuinely cannot be solved, email us the level number and we’ll check it ourselves.
Progress, coins and the things you bought in the shop are stored on your device, not on a server. They survive app updates, but they are removed if you delete the app or reset the device.
Deleting the app and reinstalling it will start you from level 1. If your progress disappeared without you deleting anything, write to us with your device model and roughly when it happened — that’s a bug and we want to hear about it.
The Escape Run leaderboard runs on Apple’s Game Center. If you’re not signed in, the board has nothing to show.
Open the iOS Settings app → Game Center, sign in with your Apple Account, then reopen Stretch Escape. Your best streak is submitted automatically after that.
The “Friends” tab only shows people who are your Game Center friends and who have played Escape Run.
Stretch Escape is free, and there is nothing to buy with real money — no in-app purchases and no subscription.
Coins are earned by finding fish and yarn inside Story levels and by finishing Daily Puzzles. Everything in the shop is paid for with those coins.
Ads are what keep the game free. There is a short ad between Story levels from time to time, and there are optional rewarded ads you can choose to watch — for a second attempt at the Daily Puzzle, or to continue an Escape Run.
Rewarded ads are never forced: skipping one only means you don’t get that particular bonus.
There is currently no paid option to remove ads.
Where required by law (for example in the EU, the UK and Switzerland), the game may ask for your consent choices about personalised advertising. When this applies, a Privacy options row appears in Settings inside the game, where you can change your answer at any time.
Stretch Escape does not ask for permission to track you across other apps and websites, and does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA).
Open Settings from the top-right corner of the main menu. Music, sound effects, vibration, battery saver and the daily reminder each have their own switch, and your choices are remembered.
The game follows your device language the first time it starts. To pick a different one, open Settings inside the game and choose from the language list.
Stretch Escape is available in English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese.
Notifications also need permission from iOS. Open the iOS Settings app → Notifications → Stretch Escape and make sure “Allow Notifications” is on. Focus modes and Low Power Mode can delay reminders too.
There is no reset button inside the game. To start over from level 1, delete the app and install it again. This clears your levels, stars, coins and shop items, and it cannot be undone. Your Game Center best streak lives with Apple and is not affected.
Stretch Escape runs on iPhone and iPad. Phones play in portrait; iPad can be held either way. If the game runs slowly on an older device, turning off vibration and reducing motion in iOS Settings → Accessibility helps.
